Osseo Lions Club

“The purpose of life is to have a life of purpose.”

— A.P. Singh, 2025–2026 Lions International President

We Serve. We Roar.

Welcome to the Osseo Lions Club

Welcome Osseo Lions

The Osseo Lions Club is a philanthropic, all-volunteer service organization rooted in the Osseo community and connected to a worldwide movement of people who live out the simple motto: We Serve.

As part of Lions Clubs International, more than 1.35 million members serve in over 200 countries to protect sight, fight hunger, support youth, care for the environment, confront diabetes and childhood cancer, and respond when disasters strike.

In Osseo, that global mission comes to life through the efforts and talents of the over 50 dedicated members of the Osseo Lions who consistently volunteer their time, talents, and financial support to the beloved community and beyond. Whether it’s hosting or supporting community events, scholarships, food and vision health support, senior outreach, or veterans support solutions, you will find the Osseo Lions and their local organization partners joining forces to help neighbors thrive.

During the Worldwide Induction Ceremony at the 2026 MD5M Multiple Convention, Lions International President A.P. Singh expanded on his idea for Lions, calling each of us to see our membership not as joining a club, but becoming that singular movement of service.

“We are not simply individual raindrops falling into an ocean—we become the ocean.”

Inspired by that vision, Osseo Lions invites every member and supporter to bring their “raindrop” of service into an ocean of impact — to step into the mission, embody the values of the club, and actively work to make a difference in the lives of others.

Giving Spotlight

The Osseo Lions Club is honored to support the Wastebasket Revue Scholarship program, investing in local students who are ready to lead and serve in their communities.

Last year, the Osseo Lions Club was honored to present a Wastebasket Revue Scholarship to Annette, a graduating senior from Osseo Senior High with plans to study at the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Management (CSTEMM) at UW–Stout.

That moment reflected exactly what this partnership is about:
empowering local students to pursue their education, leadership, and dreams.

Through the Wastebasket Revue Scholarship program, Osseo Lions continues to support students like Annette every year — investing in their potential, encouraging their service, and helping build the next generation of community-minded leaders.

The 8 Core Pillars of Service or Key Global Causes

Get Involved

  • What does it mean to become a member of the Osseo Lions? It means you are dedicating your time and talents through service to the benefit and the betterment of our neighborhoods and communities while honoring the mission of Lions Club International.

You are, in essence, not a singular member, but an essential ingredient that makes up the power of the membership body and empowering us as an organization to be able to achieve more.

  • Join a team of caring community volunteers who have helped dozens of local community, educational, and children's sporting organizations in addition to organizations supporting the needs of veterans and community members with disabilities.

We support community initiatives and events like our annual Osseo Lions Roar civic event, Movies in the Park, Community Halloween Party, Photos with Santa Day, Regional Food Drives, and our Autumn Baking Competition, and so much more!

If you're an individual or organization looking to log community volunteer hours, please consider helping the Osseo Lions Club with one of their upcoming events and we'll provide you with a certificate of participation.

    REACH OUT for Volunteer Opportunities

  • Help us with our mission to improve sight and eye health for the masses by donating your new or gently used eyeglasses to the Lions through one of our designated partnership drop locations, like Premier Bank of Osseo!

  • The Osseo Lions does not advocate or promote gambling, but we understand this is something some like to do for fun while visiting local establishments for food and drink.

So we hope if you are one of these people you will consider charitble gambling at our Lion's pull tab booth at Duffy's Bar & Grill on Central Ave in Osseo.

Charity gambling is the practice where typical gambling 'games' such as bingo, roulette, lottery, slot machines, etc. are overseen by a charity or group of charities.

The profits from the venture go to the charity or group of charities, rather than to a municipality or private casino. Sometimes this occurs as a 'one time event' during a casino night or such type party.

In other cases, charity interests maintain ongoing gambling concerns.

What does the Osseo Lions do with funds collected by charitable gambling?

We readily accept donation requests for funds from our charitable gambling proceeds as long as the request and the persons and or organization making the request meets the criteria of Lawful purposes set forth by the State of Minnesota Gambling Board.
