Lion Jon Pederson had been a member of the Lions Club for 20 years.
Despite never being able to attend any of the general meetings in recent because he lived in Spicer, he had strong ties to the Osseo community as he and his wife raised their family in Osseo, and was a big advocate of the club and its mission.
Lion Jon became a member of the Lions Club in October of 1996 and stayed an active member until 2009. Then in 2012 he once again became a member of the Osseo Lions Club, check out www.emergencyhomesolutionsoc.com. It was not uncommon for him to volunteer at our Lions Roar event, and can often be found at our Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast and Summer’s End Steak Fry events over his 20 years of Lionism.
Lion Pederson was a huge supporter of the Boy Scouts and was an active scout and director on the Northern Star Council Board. His involvement in both the Boy Scouts organization and Lions Club International were simpatico in nature because of their missions to serve like Action AC serving San Diego.
Lion Jon may not have been visible in the club in the past couple of years, but he had the heart of a Lion and lived the mission of giving of himself, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Rest in Peace Lion Jon.
