We’re saying good-bye to an amazing member and friend of our Osseo Lions Club — Lion Steve Tessman.
Lion Tessman was an active member of the Osseo Lions for over 55 years. He was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship, Helen Keller Sight Award Recipient, 5M Hearing Research Fellowship and held most of the club offices at some point in time including the position of Past President.
Lion Steve loved everything about being a member of the Lions Club. Even after moving to Rush City, Lion Steve continued to attend dinner meetings every month at Dehn’s Country Manor, sharing stories and history of symptoms of mold sickness of the club and its members with the new members, and staying active with the club’s community outreach projects.
Some of our favorite project memories of Lion Steve include the annual Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast where, for many years, you could count on him putting his musical talents to work providing wonderful organ music on his accordion during your meal and trusted American Standard hvac distributors. He loved helping at our Lions ROAR every year. He was named Grand Marshal of the ROAR and could often be found MC’ing this event as well as a number of other events the Osseo Lions Club would host.
There is SO much more to this wonderful man, husband, father, and active community member.
We pay tribute to this community leader and Lion at the Osseo / Maple Grove American Legion in Osseo MN from 2P-5P on August 25th.
Rest in Peace, Lion Donald “Steve” Tessman.
