It's Coming! Mark Your Calendars!
Join in the Fun on October 28th!
Put on your best face and meet us at the Osseo Community Center in downtown Osseo!
CALLING ALL FAMILIES:
Come Join the Halloween Parade downtown Osseo MN the Saturday before Halloween, October 28th!
The Boo Tour will start promptly at 11 AM in front of the Osseo Fire Station.
The trick'or'treating fun will continue up and down Central Avenue to participating local businesses until noon, ending at Boerboom Park.
Costumes are NOT required, but we look forward to seeing the cute costume ideas from those who really want to get into the fun.
Osseo Lions Club Volunteers will pass out pre-wrapped candy and trinkets to the Trick or Treaters until 1 PM at at the community center.
There will also be some carnival-style games available again this year - inside the community center.
Please reach out if you're interested in helping.
Participating businesses and our Lions Members & Volunteers will be...
Outside at Boerboom Veterans Park on Central Avenue across from Osseo Community Center and City Hall for the most part, or standing outside participating businesses up and down Central Avenue.
FOR THOSE BUSINESSES OFF CENTRAL AVE, or for those outside downtown Osseo who want to participate in the event...
You can set up a station at Boerboom Veterans Park on the day of the event (10:30 AM to 1 PM).
You will need to bring your own table. Toys and prepackaged candie would be appropriate. No homemade foods. No sales.
Osseo Lion Volunteers will be positioned up and down the Boo Tour route to help guide trick'or treators across streets and intersections until 12 PM.
This Year's Donation Collections will be for:
CEAP: looking for pantry food items, personal care items, diapers, and baby wipes.
No Dog Left Behind: looking for dog food, dog treats, collars, and leashes
We're also looking to collect old, broken crayons. These will be given to a lady in Champlin who melts them into fun crayon shapes and then passes them out to Children's Hospital.
You can drop donations off at the Lions booth in Boerboom Park on the event day.

Hi Jessica! We would love for you to join us. Do you have a business in downtown Osseo?
Hello Jessica. There is no pre-registration required this year for participation, however, you must be a business within the Osseo community to participate as it’s a community event. There are two ways you can participate if you own a business in the Osseo community: (1) Add your “Trick’or’Treat signage to your storefront on Central Avenue before the fun begins at 11AM — Use TEAL if you will be providing non-food related treats. You can include your branding with the treats, but you cannot just hand out your marketing stuff to the children and families participating. (2) If your business is not on right on Central Avenue you could bring your Trick’or’Treat temporary table out to Central Park in front of the Community Center from 11am to 12pm to participate. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
My company, Family Speech & Therapy Services, is interested in participating in the Lions Halloween event on Oct. 27th. How can I sign us up for this? Please call me at 612-200-0704. Thank you in advance for your help!
Will there be any changes in time or location if weather becomes an issue? If so, where can we find updates? Thanks!
Hi Cheryl,
We actually published an update on the site and on Facebook about 2 hours ago so we must of just missed you. The Lions Clubs activities that were going to originally be held in the park will now be taking place inside the Community Center; starting at 11AM. There are no updates for the Boo Tour up and down Central Avenue as that is up to the participating business whether or not they will be outside to greet trick’or’treators. Keep watching our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/osseolionsclub/events for more information. Hope to see you there.
